W.P.A. 6716 of 2020 C.A.N. 1 of 2020 (C.A.N. 5623 of 2020) (Through Video Conference) Ujjwal Sarkar -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Debabrata Dasgupta.
....for the petitioner.
Mr. Subir Sanyal, Mr. Ratul Biswas.
.....for the West Bengal Board of Primary Education.
The petitioner is praying that he may be appointed in the post of assistant teacher in a primary school in terms of a judgement dated October 03, 2018 passed in W.P. No. 23006(W) of 2017.
Mr. Sanyal, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education being respondent nos. 2 to 4 submits that the petitioner since not being qualified in Teacher Eligibility Test, 2014, is not eligible to participate in the selection process as such there is no scope of his appointment of the petitioner in the post of an assistant teacher in primary schools.
I find force in the submission of Mr. Sanyal.
The writ petition being W.P.A. 6716 of 2020 is devoid of any merit and is, therefore, dismissed. There is no order for costs.
The connected application being C.A.N.
