Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that his client has been working as an acting Head Clerk since 2018 while the post of Head Clerk has remained vacant in the Institution since 2017. The statute provides that post of Head Clerk has to be filled up by promotion. The petitioner has already made representation in this regard. In view of the above the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent DPI to consider the representation of the petitioner in this regard in accordance with law at the earliest, preferably within

six weeks from the date of communication of this order.
