Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submit that there has been alleged recovery of 31 kgs of ganja from the present petitioners and they are in custody since 21.01.2026. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that commercial quantity of contraband has been seized.

Having considered that the rigors of Section 37 of NDPS Act are attracted, I am not inclined to release the petitioners on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners in CRM (NDPS) no. 822 of 2026 is rejected.

Petitioners would be at liberty to renew their prayer for bail after the evidence of seizure list witnesses are over. Memo of evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
