Galib Ms. Sujata Ghosh ..........for the State Mr. Ajit Kumar Chaubey Mr. Noorul Islam .....for the respondent no. 5 The petitioner has filed an affidavit stating the approximate expenses per month for bringing his autistic son to Kolkata from Pashchim Medinipur for treatment and therapy. The same is taken on record.
The Affidavit states that both SSKM and NRS Hospitals provide for therapy for broad-spectrum autism. The Affidavit also mentions the approximate expenses for the private respondent's travel from Pashchim Medinipur to Kolkata and lodging expenses for undertaking the therapy of the petitioner's child.
The petitioner and the private respondent are estranged and are living separately. The petitioner lives in Kolkata and has a shop in Lansdowne market. Upon considering the submissions of leaned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the Affidavit, the petitioner is directed to make Rs. 10,000/- available to the private respondent for being used for travelling, lodging and therapy costs for their autistic child within the last week of the month preceding the month for which the expenses are to be borne by the petitioner and used by the private respondent. The payment is to be made to the Bank Account of the private respondent within the timeframe as directed. The private respondent shall furnish the Bank Account details to the petitioner within 20th September, 2022. The direction for payment is made on the basis of requirement of treatment and therapy for the child six times every month.
The private respondent shall preserve the documents used for treatment and therapy.
The writ petition is disposed of in terms of the above.
