The wife of the petitioner was an approved Assistant Teacher of a Higher Secondary School, on attaining the age of superannuation she has retired from her said service on January 31, 2017 and died on February 18, 2017.

The petitioner complaining delay in disbursement of the retiral benefit of his deceased wife has filed the instant writ petition.

Mr. Bari, learned Counsel for the State submits that during the pendency of the writ petition the necessary Pension Payment Order has been issued in favour of the petitioner on March 27, 2024.

In view of such development, no further order need be passed in the present writ petition. The concerned authorities are directed to expedite the disbursement of the retiral benefits of the deceased teacher.

W.P.A. 9089 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
