Learned counsel for the petitioner rightly submits that the writ petition, in its present form, is entirely misconceived inasmuch as the reliefs sought are primarily against the police authorities whereas the cause of action pleaded in the writ petition pertains to the electricity authorities and is in respect of the alleged illegal installation of an electricity meter. On the prayer of learned counsel for the petitioners, WPA No. 7186 of 2009 is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh writ petition on the self-same cause of action. IA No: CAN 1 of 2019 (Old No: CAN 5679 of 2019) is accordingly dismissed.
