1. It appears to this Court from the order dated 17th April, 2025 from which this appeal has been filed, the single bench has not disposed of WPA 8663 of 2025 as yet.

2. The Single Bench of this Court has, at paragraph no. 6 of the impugned order, called for reports from the Bhatpara Municipality as to why the pension of the appellant has not been paid.

3. The Bhatpara Municipality may file a report within the time stipulated by the Single Bench.

4. Counsel for the State submits that the Municipality should pay pension and terminal dues of the employees from their own funds.

5. Be that as it may, the Bhatpara Municipality may file a comprehensive report as directed by the Single Bench.

6. The Single Bench may consider the report of the Bhatpara Municipality and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

7. Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharyya, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the appellant has fairly agreed that the appeal itself may not be maintainable.

8. In that view of the matter, MAT 595 of 2025 shall stand disposed of.

9. Consequently, CAN 1 of 2025 shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
