A compliance report has been filed by the Superintendent of Police, Purba Medinipur. The said report is taken on record.

The victim girl has been traced. She has been produced before the court. The court has interacted with the girl, privately. The girl has expressed her firm desire to go back to her parents. The court has also spoken to the parents, who were in court. The court directs that the girl be handed over to the parents in the presence of the learned advocates for the respective parties, here and now. Documents to that effect be signed by the parents. The investigation which is going on with regard to Egra PS Case No. 293/2022 dated April 27, 2022, under Sections 363/366/34 of the Indian

Penal Code, shall be reached to its logical conclusion expeditiously.

The court appreciates the effort of the Superintendent of Police, Purba Medinipur and his team for the action taken.

The police authorities shall keep a vigil so that the same incident is not repeated.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
