Report of compliance filed by Upa-Pradhan of Gohagram Gram Panchayat, Galsi-II, Purba Bardhaman be taken on record.

It appears that the order of this Court dated 18th February, 2022 has been complied with. The construction by the private respondents has been found to be illegal.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has been referred to the S.D.O., Sardar, Purba Bardhaman for taking steps in terms of Section 23(6) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973.

The Prodhan of Gohagram Gram Panchayat, Galsi-II, Purba Bardhaman shall resume her duties. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the contempt application shall stand disposed of. Rule, if any, shall also stand discharged.

The personal appearance of the alleged contemnor is dispensed with.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
