1. The writ petitioners complain of alleged inaction on the part of the Golabari Police Station in respect of FIR No. 77 of 2023 dated 20.03.2023.

2. It appears that investigation into the said FIR has been completed and the Charge Sheet No. 96 of 2023 has been filed by the Police. In respect of a complaint by the respondent no. 8 against the petitioners, FIR No. 81 of 2023 has been registered. Investigation into the said FIR has been completed and the Charge Sheet has been filed.

3. The allegations against the private respondents could not be substantiated.

4. The Police submit that there is civil dispute between the petitioners and the private respondents which has most likely resulted in cases and the counter cases.

5. This Court is of the view that there is no inaction on the part of the Golabari Police Station.

6. It is ordered that the Police shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area and shall maintain strict vigil thereat.

7. In the event of any further complaint or any threat, the petitioners may lodge a suitable application for protection and the Police shall consider the same in accordance with law.

8. The writ petition is disposed of.

9. There will be no order as to costs.
