1. The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of Nazat Police Station in respect of a complaint dated 15th March, 2022 that her son, Sanyashi Das, is missing.

2. Counsel for the State places instructions of the Nazat Police Station indicating that the son is absconding and claimed to be a proclaimed offender in respect of Charge-sheet No. 143 of 2021 dated 29th June, 2021 and Charge-sheet No. 72 of 2022 dated 31st March, 2022 and Charge-sheet No. 26 of 2022 dated 9th February, 2022.

3. The petitioner has claimed in the complaint dated 15th March, 2022 that she received a telephone call from the daughter-in-law that the said Sanyashi Das has been missing since May, 2022.

4. This Court is of the view that the petitioner may take out appropriate proceedings under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
