The present revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of Jalangi Police Station Case No.290 of 2020 dated 07.07.2020 under Sections 186/188/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 21/22/23 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The case was subsequently transferred to Sagarpara Police Station and renumbered as Sagarpara Police Station Case No.72 of 2020 dated 02.09.2020 under the said Sections.

As none appears on behalf of the petitioner or for the State, Ms. Debjani Sahu, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State, is directed to represent the State. Her appearance may be regularised by the concerned authorities. The petitioner approached this Court at a stage when the charge-sheet was submitted and the learned special court was pleased to take cognizance of the offences complained of under Sections 21/22/23 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. No further order-sheets have been enclosed along with the revisional application.

Having considered the innocuous prayer advanced before this Court, I direct the learned special court to take steps so that the trial of the case is concluded within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1255 of 2021 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
