1. By this public interest litigation the petitioners allege that the private respondents have engaged men and agents to cut down several trees standing in the plot of land which, according to the petitioners, is renowned as the Leela Ground of Lord Srikrishna Chaitannya Mahaprabhu.

2. Admittedly, even in the representation the petitioners have admitted that the land is a private property and has been purchased by the private respondents.

3. Therefore, the direction sought for cannot be issued more particularly treating the same as a public interest litigation.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed.
