...For the Respondents The application being CAN 1 of 2020 (CAN 5815 of 2020) relating to urgency of this writ petition is heard and, accordingly, disposed of.

I have heard counsel on behalf of both parties. Two reports have been filed by the Officer-in-Charge, Muchipara Police Station and Officer-in-Charge, Baranagar Police Station. These reports basically state that the petitioners are running their shops in accordance with law and, therefore, there is no impediment in their continuing to do so.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of allowing the petitioners to continue running their shops in accordance with law.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition is called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
