Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL hands over a written instruction dated May 2, 2023 indicating the steps which are required to be taken by the petitioner to get a new electricity connection at his premises. A copy of the said communication is also handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the latter is agreeable to comply with such conditions. Accordingly, WPA 9141 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to comply with the formalities as indicated in the communication dated May 2, 2023 as well as all other formalities required in law at the earliest. Upon completion of such formalities, the WBSEDCL shall give the new connection to the petitioner within a fortnight from the date of such compliance.

The written instructions filed in court today by learned counsel for the WBSEDCL be kept on record.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
