No. 141 of 2024 dated 21.03.2024 under Sections 420/406/376(2)(n)/509/376/354(d)/120b of the Indian Penal Code pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Arambagh.

And In Re : Ajay Singh ...... petitioner Mr. Pintu Karar Mr. Akashdeep Mukherjee Mr. Sabab Uddin Laskar Mr. Saikat Koley ...for the petitioner Mr. Debasish Roy, Ld. P.P., ...for the State Victim recorded a statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. where she claims that she entered into a relationship with the petitioner after being introduced to each other on the social media platform.

Victim is married to another person.

The relationship between the victim and the petitioner went for several years.

There is an earlier police complaint in which the petitioner was enlarged on bail.

Subsequent thereto, the victim as an adult went with the petitioner as claimed by the victim, to Uttar Pradesh. As adults, the victim and the petitioner are supposed to know the consequences of their relationship.

In such circumstances, we grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The petitioner will report before the Investigating Officer once a week till the conclusion of the investigation. The petitioner shall appear on every date before the Jurisdictional Court on and from the date fixed for appearance of the accused and in default the jurisdictional Court will pass appropriate order to secure the presence of the petitioner in Court including cancelling the anticipatory bail granted without further reference to this Court.
