Mr. Dinesh Pani Ms. Sulagna sen ...for the petitioner Mr. Srijan Nayak Mrs. Rituparna Maitra ...for the State The petitioner is aggrieved by non-consideration of his representation for extension of time to comply with the conditions mentioned in the offer letter for grant of permanent Stage Carriage Permit (Inter State Permit) dated September 5, 2024. The petitioner made a request for extension of time to comply with the conditions made in the aforesaid offer letter dated September 5, 2024, by a letter, which was received by the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West Bengal on September 10, 2024. The said request has neither been accepted nor been rejected as yet.

The writ petition is therefore disposed of by directing the respondent No. 5, i.e. the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West Bengal to dispose of the petitioner's application/request for extension of offer letter that was received by the office of the respondent No. 5 on September 10, 2024 by passing a reasoned order in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The petitioner shall co-operate with the respondent No. 5 and shall furnish all the relevant documents as may be required by the respondent No. 5 for the purpose of taking a decision on the petitioner's aforesaid request. It is needless to mention that the respondent No. 5 shall after passing the reasoned order as aforesaid within the aforesaid timeframe, communicate such order to the petitioner within a period of one week from passing thereof.

WPA 9282 of 2025 stands disposed of as above. (Om Narayan Rai , J.)
