The petitioner is aggrieved non-receipt of PPO and pension. The petitioner joined service under the DPSC, Burdwan on 1st November, 1997. He retired from service on 31st March, 2022, after 27 years of his service. Despite repeated representations the petitioner has not received pension, gratuity or any terminal benefits. In those circumstances, this court directs the DI of Schools, Paschim Burdhaman to look into the service records of the petitioner and consider if there is any restriction on issuing pension to the petitioner. If no such restriction is found, let the last drawn pay of the petitioner be calculated and service record be forwarded to the DPPG, West Bengal within a period of one month from the date of receipt of the copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition.

Upon receipt of the particulars the DPPG, West Bengal shall issue PPO to the petitioner and also pay arrears of pension to the petitioner from the date of retirement till the date of actual payment together with interest at the rate of 7% per annum.

Let PPO be issued to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of the particulars from the DI of Schools in accordance with the applicable Rules.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
