The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Block Development Officer, Debra Development Block, Paschim Medinipur to comply with the direction of the District Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur dated September 3, 2020, being annexure P5 at page 30 of the writ petition, if not already done. The District Magistrate shall thereafter decide the matter and communicate his decision to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the report from the Block Development Officer. In case the report has already been received, the District Magistrate must decide the issue urgently and communicate the same to the petitioner.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Copy of the writ petition along with the server copy of this order be served upon the District Magistrate,

Paschim Medinipur and the Block Development Officer, Debra Development Block, Paschim Medinipur within a week. This court has not gone into the issues raised by the petitioner as the District Magistrate is already considering the matter.

Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
