Mr. Rana Mukherjee, Ms. Sujata Das. ... For the State. Petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conference.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the instant case and there has been no progress and unnecessarily the petitioner is detained in custody.

Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate for the State submits that there have been seizure of incriminating materials from the possession of the petitioner and in this case all the accused persons except the present petitioner are still absconding.

Taking into account the stage of the case and the fact that other accused persons are still absconding and the present petitioner is connected with the offence (incriminating materials being recovered from the possession of the petitioner), we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM 6234 of 2020 and CRAN 4744 of 2020 are disposed of.
