The writ petitioner complains that the Secretary of Athiti Abasan Welfare Society has refused to hand over the keys of a property that stood in the name of late sister-in-law, Minakhi Dey.

The sister-in-law died on 04.08.2020. The Secretary of Athiti Abasan Welfare Society has handed over the keys of the flat-in-question to the I. C., Uttarpara Police Station.

The I. C., Uttarpara Police Station has filed a report dated 31.01.2023 and the same is taken on record.

This Court directs the I. C., Uttarpara Police Station to retain the keys and take steps to hand over the same, in the event any civil court of statutory authority directs in that regard.

The petitioner may approach Civil Court or other legal forum to establish her right in respect of her property.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
