The father of the petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of Secondary School. He died on August 24, 2020.

The petitioner is praying compassionate appointment.

To get compassionate appointment, the family income of the applicant must be below the income of the Group-D staff.

The mother of the petitioner is an Assistant Post Master, Department of Post, Government of India, obviously her income is much higher than the aforementioned yardstick, consequently, the petitioner is not entitled to such appointment.

W.P.A. 9171 of 2023 is dismissed accordingly without any order as to costs.
