The petitioner through the learned advocate filed objection before the Howrah Municipal Corporation on 2nd May, 2022 and alleges that the same has not been taken up for consideration till date.

Learned advocate representing the Howrah Municipal Corporation submits that in response to the complaint filed inspection has been conducted and

hearing has been given to the parties but formal order is yet to be passed.

Learned advocate representing the respondent no.6 submits that a notice under Section 177(1) of the Howrah Municipal Corporation Act, 1980 has been issued on 14th July, 2022.

It appears from the submissions made on behalf of all the parties and the documents produced before this Court that the Howrah Municipal Corporation has already taken steps in response to the objection filed on behalf of the petitioner through the learned advocate. Accordingly, the Howrah Municipal Corporation is directed to conclude the proceeding that has been initiated strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The concerned officer of the Howrah Municipal Corporation shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the parties immediately thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
