The limited prayer of the petitioner is for a direction on the Director of Public Instruction to take steps in terms of a letter from the College to the DPI on 07.07.2021. By the said order, the University requested the DPI to consider the prayer of appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground.

The petitioner is the wife of the deceased employee/ Guard Cum Night Watchman of the University who died in harness.

After hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, WPA 8820 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the DPI to consider and dispose of the letter dated 07.07.2021 after hearing all concerned parties including the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date and pass a reasoned order taking into account all relevant Rules and Notifications. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date on which such reasoned order is passed.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
