Petitioner alleges that he has complained to the Officer-in-Charge, Patashpur Police Station relating to the dispute relating to the property wherein he has been thrown away, although he has a right over the property concerned.

To that effect, the Officer-in-Charge, Patashpur Police Station did not take any action. Subsequently, to that effect, petitioner also informed the District Magistrate of Purba Medinipur.

Learned advocate for the State is present who submits that the disputes referred to are civil in nature which may not be within the domain of police authorities to act.

I find from the records of the case that the information was sent on 2021. Petitioner will file a fresh representation before the authorities concerned

and the authorities would oversee whether the same falls within the discharge of their duty. Authorities would act in accordance with law but will not overstep the powers vested in them.

In case the petitioner is aggrieved by the act and action of the authority, petitioner would be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate by invoking the relevant provisions of law.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 10295 of 2021 is disposed of.
