The petitioner has complained to the Superintendent of Police, Howrah Rural that he has been tortured in police custody.

Counsel for the State denies any such allegation.

A copy of the complaint to the S.P. has been forwarded to the State Human Rights Commission.

The Commission may at its discretion cause enquiry into the same and take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of without any further order.

There shall be no order as to costs.

7.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
