The land of the petitioner was allegedly used by the Metro Railway for stalking materials for construction of the Metro project. The petitioner in this writ petition sought for a direction upon the respondent authorities for removal of the dumped materials.

Upon service of the writ petition, the Metro Railway authority took steps for removal of the articles. By a communication of the Sr. DGM/Civil/Expert of the Kolkata Project Implementation Unit of the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited dated April 29, 2025, which is taken on record, the authority has expressed regret due to the inconvenience caused to the petitioner for accumulating the iron materials which were released from the Metro construction activities. 3.

Presently, the petitioner admits that the materials have been removed. The petitioner seeks compensation for unauthorized use of land.

As the petitioner initially did not seek compensation in the instant writ petition, accordingly, leave is granted to him for

highlighting and seeking redressal of his grievances before the competent forum in accordance with law.

The writ petition is disposed of.
