The petitioners seek a direction agaisnt Debra Police Station and Superintendent of Police, Paschim Medinipur to take steps against the respondent nos.4 to 9 in respect of a property standing in their names. This Court is of the view that the remedy of the petitioners against the private respondents, in this regard, is before an appropriate Civil Court and police have no role to play in such matters.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that his clients are aggrieved by the inaction on the part of Debra Police Station in investigating into FIR No.78 of 2019 dated 7th February, 2019 and FIR No. 205 of 2019 dated 14th April, 2019.

This Court notes with surprise that the delay in investigation in respect of the aforesaid FIRs.

Debra Police Station shall complete investigation into the subject FIRs and file final report mandatorily and positively within a period of three months from date, if not already filed.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
