The petitioner has challenged an interim award passed under Section 15(2)(b) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.

At the time, when the writ petition came to be admitted, a sum of Rs.5,31,000/- has been directed to be deposited with the Registrar General of this Court. 3.

Such deposit has been made.

It is now submitted that the final award has been passed by the Tribunal in Case No.VIII- 20/2017 in favour of the private respondent, workman. The said award has been challenged by the employer/writ petitioner in WPA 6567 of 2023 before this Court, which is pending adjudication.

In view of the above, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition since the interim award merges with the final award.

The amount deposited with the Registrar General of this Court being Rs.5,31,000/- along with accrued interest shall be paid to the private respondent No.3, Surendra Prasad, the workman, into his bank account within a period of ten days from date by the Registrar General. 7.

The payment to the respondent No.3 and appropriation thereof shall be subject to any order passed by this Court in the writ petition challenging the final award.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

In view of the disposal of the main writ petition, connected applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of. 10.

There shall be no order as to costs.
