CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No. CAN 5888 of 2020) is disposed of by taking up the writ petition for consideration. The petitioners assail a summons issued under Section 136 of the West Bengal Cooperative Societies Act, 2006.

Section 136 of the Act of 2006 empowers a Registrar to call for evidence from the persons who is in possession of the same.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that, subsequent to the filing of the writ petition, the Registrar of Cooperative Societies assured the petitioners that a copy of the complaint will be made available to the petitioners. Be that as it may, it is for the petitioner to comply

with a requisition under Section 136 of the Act of 2006. In such circumstances, I am not minded to interfere with the impugned notice at this stage. WPA 6848 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
