Petitioner prays for rectification of Pension Payment Order dated 16th December, 2024 which was issued in terms of order of the District Inspector of School (S.E), Paschim Medinipur dated 29th November, 2024.

It is rightly pointed out on behalf of the petitioner on relying upon the decision of the District Inspector of School (S.E), Paschim Medinipur dated 29th November, 2024 that family pension was sanctioned in favour of the petitioner with effect from 1st July, 2016, since mother of the petitioner died on 30th June, 2016. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a report dated 6th May, 2025 of the District Inspector of Schools (S.E), Paschim Medinipur and the same is taken on record. It is

submitted on behalf of the State respondent that inadvertently while issuing the Pension Payment Order dated 16th December, 2024, family pension was sanctioned in favour of the petitioner with effect from 15th July, 2024 instead of 1st July, 2016.

Taking note of the order passed by the District Inspector of School (S.E), Paschim Medinipur dated 29th November, 2024, it appears that petitioner was entitled to receive family pension not from 15th July, 2024 but from 1st July, 2016.

The concerned State authorities are directed to issue revised Pension Payment Order within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order thereby sanctioning family pension in favour of the petitioner with effect from 1st July, 2016. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
