1. The petitioner has filed the present writ application challenging the show cause notice dated April 1, 2026 issued to the petitioner for not performing the election duty.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner could not attend the election duty due to illness of his wife and the petitioner has also informed the same to the authorities.
3. Learned counsel for the ECI submits that no further action has been taken against the petitioner.
4. In view of the above, this Court finds that only the petitioner has not attended the election duty, the show cause notice has been issued. Now the election is over and the authorities have not taken any further action against the petitioner. Thus, the writ petition is become infructuous.
5. Accordingly, WPA 9865 of 2026 stands disposed of.
6. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
7. Urgent Photostat certified copy, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all formalities. (Krishna Rao, J.)
