AGP Mr. Pannalal Bandopadhyay ....For the State The petitioner has approached this Court challenging the resolution adopted by the Board of the Regional Transport Authority in its meeting held on March 26, 2025 whereby the Board had resolved to take a decision as regards the proposal for route alignment of S-166/1 (Durgapur (Dhapa) to Howrah FS).

It is submitted by Mr. Khan, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners that by a subsequent resolution adopted by the Board of the Regional Transport Authority in its meeting held on May 27, 2025, the earlier proposal has been annulled.

A copy of the said resolution has been made over to Court. The same is taken on record.

The same reads as follows:

"Resolution: - RTA Board thoroughly discussed the matter and decided to reject the proposal for re-alignment of S-166/1 as per report of RTO (Regn)/ARTO/MVI(Enf), P.V.D., Kolkata dt. 28.04.2025 where it has been mentioned that the proposal route may be treated as creation of a new route."

Mr. Deb Roy, learned advocate appearing for the State has also brought the said resolution dated May 27, 2025 through a Report in the form of an Affidavit filed on behalf of the Respondent Nos. 2 to 4.

In view of the aforesaid, nothing remains to be decided in the writ petition.

The writ petition being WPA 9203 of 2025 is thus disposed of as having become infructuous. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
