The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner says that the petitioner is in custody since January, 2020 and having given birth to a girl child in end-July. The petitioner says that though the charge-sheet has been filed, there is no chemical analysis report which has been obtained.

The State says that the chemical analysis report has been obtained and it confirms the initial apprehension that the petitioner was carrying commercial quantity of heroin.

It will be open to the petitioner to apply to the appropriate authorities for some temporary relief if the childcare needs so demand; however, in view of the commercial quantity of contraband recovered from the petitioner, she does not qualify to obtain bail.
