Mr. Arjun Roy Mukherjee ...for the petitioners Mr.Roy Mukherjee, learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had preferred application challenging a proposed enquiry to be undertaken by the Kandi Municipality for verification of records and documents of the petitioners before taking any penal action or steps for cancellation of their registration. It is also submitted by Mr. Roy Mukherjee that nothing further remains to be decided in this writ petition and as such none of the petitioners want to proceed with the writ petition. Under such circumstances, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. If steps are taken against the petitioners on the basis of the impugned notice in future, the petitioners shall be at liberty to participate in such proceeding.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. (Shampa Sarkar, J.)
