The petitioner is aggrieved by the progress of the proceedings of the present case.

It has been informed that the petitioner was arrested and is in custody since 22nd April, 2019 and the next date has been fixed on 22nd December, 2021.

Having regard to the period of detention of the petitioner, I direct the learned trial court to overcome the stage of consideration of charge on the next date so fixed or within a fortnight thereafter. The learned trial court thereafter would fix schedule which would consist of three dates and such schedule should be fixed once in every sixty days. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties and schedule would be fixed after the public prosecutor conducting the

case assures the learned court regarding the availability of the witnesses. All efforts must be taken to conclude the trial within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1276 of 2021 is disposed of.
