Mr. Aniket Mitra ..for the State Even at the second call no one appears. No phone number has been provided in the application for communication. The petitioner himself is the FIR maker wherein it has been stated that he has been mercilessly beaten up at his residence by the accused persons with other antisocial associates. Mr. Sur, learned advocate appearing for the State produces the Case Diary before us which includes the injury report and statement recorded under Section 161 of independent eyewitnesses.

Having perused the said statement and the eyewitnesses (independent witnesses) as also the medical report showing grievous injury upon the victim we are not inclined to allow the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM 6318 of 2020 and CRAN 1 of 2020 are disposed of. (Kausik Chanda, J.) (Sahidullah Munshi, J.)
