The allegation is that the petitioners intercepted the victim girl while she was returning home on a scooty with her brother. They tried to molest her and snatch her mobile phone. The victim and her brother raised a hue and cry. The other villagers came running to their rescue. The petitioners fled. The petitioners say that they have been framed. A false complaint has been lodged due to family disputes and political rivalry.

We have seen the statement of the victim girl and also the statement of her brother, who is an eyewitness. They

specifically implicate these petitioners and attribute specific overt acts to each of the petitioners.

In view of the prima facie incriminating material against the petitioners and keeping in mind that investigation is yet to be concluded, we are not inclined to entertain this application for anticipatory bail.

C.R.M. No.3658 of 2021 is, accordingly, dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Bivas Pattanayak, J.) (Arijit Banerjee, J.)
