The petitioner no.1 is an approved Assistant Professor of Sanskrit of Pijush Kanti Mukherjee Mahavidyalaya, District: Alipurduar; the petitioner no.2 is an approved Assistant Professor of the same subject at Sripat Singh College, District: Murshidabad.

The petitioners following the procedure prescribed under Rule 7 of the West Bengal Colleges (Transfer of Employees) Rules, 2017 for mutual transfer have applied to the Director of Public Instruction, the respondent no.3 herein. The petitioners are praying disposal of their said applications. It appears from the record that the College has issued necessary no objection and declaration in favour of the petitioners.

The respondent no.3 therefore is directed to dispose of the pending applications of the petitioners for such mutual transfer in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

WPA 9224 of 2025 is thus disposed of without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
