The licence was terminated on 20th March, 2021. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his client is entitled to due process as available under the provisions of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971.

This Court is of the view that the Ministry of Defence and/or the defence wings of the union, are not under the purview of the said Act of 1971.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
