Pursuant to the direction of this Court, the Officer-in-charge, Sundarban Coastal Police Station, Baruipur Police District has filed a report. The same is kept with the record.
It appears from the said report that the petitioner mostly stayed out of his residence for the purpose of employment and returned from time to time to his residence in a year. It further appears from the said report that at the instance of the petitioner, two several First Information Reports were filed which resulted in charge-sheet.
Since the petitioner expresses fear in returning to his residence, the Sundarban Coastal Police Station, Baruipur Police District shall provide necessary assistance to the petitioner to return to and stay in his residence. In the event of any complaint from the petitioner, the Officer-in-charge, Sundarban Coastal Police Station, Baruipur Police District shall take
immediate and necessary steps to ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.
With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
