The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher in the subject Work Education at Suria Moulana Azad High School, P.O.: Suria, District: 24 Parganas (North).

The petitioner applied for general transfer under the 'Utsashreee Portal' on the grounds that she has a child of one and half years and the distance of the school from her residence is about 44 kilometers.

The application of the petitioner has been returned as she is a single teacher of the subject in the school.

Considering the interest of the students of the school, this Court is not inclined to entertain the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer. WPA 8927 of 2022 is accordingly dismissed without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
