Report submitted by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate be kept on record. The report encloses a declaration of S.I. Soumen Mukherjee, Chinsurah P.S. who has undertaken that on 03.08.2023, he will appear before the learned trial court for his deposition. The learned public prosecutor would ensure that the materials, documents and exhibits are placed on the said date so that examination-in-chief is completed. In case the same is not completed, the same would continue on the next date and thereafter cross-examination would commence. All efforts be taken so that between 03.08.2023 and 09.08.2023, the evidence of this witness is over. Thereafter the learned trial court would fix at least one schedule consisting of two dates and such schedule be fixed once in a month so that trial can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

In case there is unnecessarily reluctance on the part of any witness, the learned trial court would directly communicate with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate who would take

efforts for ensuring presence of the witness concerned on the date so fixed.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 1418 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
