Mr. Aninda Ghosh, Mr.Sudip Guha, ... for the petitioner Mrs. Aditi Shankar Chakraborty, Mr. Sagnik Sankar Sikdar, ... for the State Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent of the charges and as the police report under Section 173 (5) Cr.P.C. has already been submitted there is no necessity of custodial detention of the petitioner. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the present petitioner being the principal accused is absconding since 2014.

We have taken into account the materials on record and as also the facts that the petitioner has been absconding for more than six years. Having taken into account the same we are not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the present petitioner.

As such, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. The application for anticipatory bail being CRM No.6332 of 2020 and CRAN 01 of 2020 are disposed of.
