Mr. Bidyut Kumar Halder Mr. Indranil Halder ...for the petitioner Mr. Debanjan Mukherjee ...for CESC Limited The petitioner raises a billing dispute concerning the electricity bills for the months of January and February 2025.

The petitioner submits that, despite having made a representation before the Grievance Redressal Officer of CESC, South Regional Office (respondent no. 3), no response has been received from the said authority.

The petitioner further apprehends that the electricity supply may be disconnected by CESC. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon respondent no. 3, the Grievance Redressal Officer of CESC, South Regional Office, to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of this order.

The electricity connection of the petitioner shall not be disconnected for a period of two months or till

the decision is rendered by respondent no.3, whichever is earlier.

Accordingly, WPA 9173 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
