(Through Video Conference) Mr. Tapan Kumar Mukherjee, Mr. Somnath Naskar ..for the State This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to take a decision to remove the NGO, namely, Haldia Vigyan Parishad at Haldia District, Purba Medinipur as there are certain allegations against the said NGO. In the petition a plea has been taken that ICDS project was allotted to the said NGO at Haldia District, Purba Medinipur by the State Government, but there are series of allegations against the NGO and the NGO is not supervising the project properly, as a result of which, the project is hampered and the centres are running without own land, building, sanitation etc. This writ petition was filed in the year 2015 and almost six years have passed thereafter. It was last listed on 18.09.2015.

No one is present on behalf of the petitioners and learned counsel for the State is also not in a position to inform if the said NGO is still running the project. In these circumstances, learned counsel for the State has

pointed out that the petitioners' representation dated 23.3.2015 annexure "P-6" is pending before the respondent no.4. Therefore, the said representation can now be duly decided having regard to the current situation on the spot.

Thus, the present petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.4/District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur to duly consider the representation dated 23.3.2015 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order.
