The petitioner seeks interest on arrear payment on account of pay revision. Arrears have been paid. What remains is the interest.

Let the interest be calculated on the said arrears for the period from 1st April, 1997 to 31st March, 2000 @ 7% per annum.

It is expected that the payment is made by the adjourned date.

It is also made clear that in default of payment as indicated above, rate of interest shall be 12%. 6.

Writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
