Advocate for the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the petitioner is in custody for about nine months and in spite of the charge-sheet being submitted, charge has not been framed till date.

The State has submitted a report, which reflects that on 29th of June, 2024, date has been fixed for consideration of charges.

Having considered the period of detention of the present petitioner and the fact that 14 witnesses have been cited by the prosecution in order to prove its case, I direct the ld. Trial court to fix a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every three months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

No unnecessary adjourment be granted to any of the parties and the trial of the case would continue in spite of any resolution of the local Bar and the participating advocates will not stall the trial of the case for any resolution being passed. All stakeholders will cooperate with the ld. Trial court so that the trial of the case is concluded at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1497 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record.
