Ganguly Mr. Sumanta Ganguly ... for the Petitioner(s) Ms. Preeti Kar ... for the State-respondent(s) Mr. Satadru Lahiri Mr. Soumyajit Das Mahapatra ... for the defacto-complainant(s) Learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody for a period of two years eleven months and till date trial has not been completed. Learned advocate for the State submits that eight witnesses have been examined and the prosecution intends to examine eight more witnesses.

Considering the submission advanced by the State, the prosecution is directed to complete such witnesses within a period of six months from the next date fixed before the learned trial court.

Learned advocate for the defacto-complainant is present and supports the contentions of the State.

Having considered the manner in which the incident happened, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioners on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 1012 of 2026 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
