Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner confesses that the petitioner has missed the cut off date for filling up the form for the next academic year.

Learned counsel appearing for the National Medical Commission hands up a judgment passed by the Supreme Court on 13.05.2022 in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 341/2022 [Dr. R. Dinesh Kumar Reddy & Ors. Vs. Medical

Counselling Committee (MCC) & Ors.] by which the writ petition was dismissed.

After considering the submissions of learned counsel appearing for the parties, it appears that the last date for filling up the form for NEET-PG 2022 was 25th March, 2022.

Surprisingly, the petitioner filed the present writ petition on 13th May, 2022 thereby showing an utter lack of diligence. Further, the order of the Supreme Court in Dr. R. Dinesh Kumar Reddy & Ors. shows that one of the prayers of the writ petitioners in that matter is identical to the prayer made by the writ petitioner before this Court, namely for the direction on the respondents to permit the students to register for the NEET-PG 2022 examination by extending the last date for registration being 25th March, 2022. By the said judgment, the Supreme Court disallowed such prayer.

This Court is, therefore, of the view that the petitioner has not been able to make out any case, compelling or otherwise, for grant of the relief as prayed for.

WPA 8982 of 2022 is accordingly dismissed without any order as to costs.
